Connecting the Dots

I spent all day Friday on Rick Thomas’s website looking around, printing off articles and watching webinar’s.  Yes, me, the cheapskate, married to a more cheapskate forked out money to join his page.  It’s been worth every penny and so much more!

No, I’m not dumb enough to say I’m cured of all that ails me but I feel as if I’m headed in the right direction.

One of the most valuable tools he talks about is a mind map.  In one article he explains how are maps develop in relationship to situation in our lives.  I finally am able to understand and now that I understand, I can work on healing.

He even explains the difference in an apology and repentance.  I’m not sure this is a part of his free content or his paid site.  I hope it’s free so you can see it.  This is something Shane and I have been doing for years, but he puts in in a way so that the why is easily understood.

I cannot recommend Mr. Thomas’s work more highly.  I have felt a weight lift.  I definitely have more work to do, but I feel I finally have all the tools necessary to connect the pieces of the puzzle.

I’ve booked the lovely room on the Kansas side of the state line where Shane and I stayed for the writers conference so I can work through more of the content.

There’s a change comin’!

What a Wonderful Change in my Life has been Wrought

Written by Rufus H. McDaniel in 1914 after the death of his son.

What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought
Since Jesus came into my heart!
I have light in my soul for which long I had sought,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Floods of joy o’er my soul
Like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.

I have ceased from my wandering and going astray,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And my sins, which were many, are all washed away,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

I’m possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

There’s a light in the valley of death now for me,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And the gates of the City beyond I can see,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

I shall go there to dwell in that City, I know,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And I’m happy, so happy, as onward I go,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain
